Gerard Morra

Gerard started in the industry in 2002 as an agent at AXA where he obtained his FINRA Series 7, 66, and life and health licenses. In 2006 he was promoted to recruiter/Vice president, during his two years as a manager he received many awards as a recruiter. Due to a knee injury, he decided to go in a different direction in the industry. He was hired in 2008 by a small broker dealer as general compliance officer and covered a lot of different areas in home office compliance (adverting, OBA’s, review of transactions). Gerard later got promoted as the Assistant Chief Compliance Officer where he helped managed the firm’s entire compliance program. In 2015, he started at NYL in CCD in the compliant review unit but in 2017, he was approached by my MP in Hudson Valley to consider the ASM role. After speaking with home office extensively, he accepted the position as ASM and has been happy with this role ever since.
In his personal life, Gerard enjoys basketball, golf and anything with an engine (yes, he does drive a motorcycle but sold his Jet Ski). Gerard and his wife have been married since 2014 but been together since 2008. They welcomed their first child in Feb 2024 and they love being parents.
